User Logins/Passwords

Everybody today wants you to login with a Username and Password.  With all of the services you are subscribed to, it's a real pain in the neck to try and remember them all.

Here's a solution.  Use this Mini-App to store ALL of those varied secret codes.  That's right! Just keep them all here and you'll only need to remember your User ID and your Password.  Then when you're out on the road and you forget one (and you know you will) , all you have to do is access it from MyPrivateRoom.com.
 

Room To Room Email

You may find yourself needing to write a private memo to another MyPrivateRoom.com user. If you know the room number of that user, this module makes it quite easy to stay in touch.

Our Room 2 Room Email is NOT part of the normal Internet emailing system.  Therefore secretaries, IT departments, family members etc. will NOT have access to these communications.  The above people tend to work so closely with you or even live in your house, they tend to learn (over time) what your email login information is. In most cases, it's because you gave it to them to retrieve something important while you were away from your machine.  Our methodology gives you that "ONE LAST PLACE" that is truly yours (and private).

To top it all off, there is a   Self Destruct Email   feature that enables your memo to be read (by the recipient) and then it will self destruct in the number of seconds that you specify. This can be helpful with time sensitive information that should not hang around any longer than needed.

The previous message was programmed to Self Destruct. Do not be alarmed. This action was specifically selected by the originator of the document.  Apparently that individual felt that the information was sensitive or critical and should not "hang around" any longer than necessary.

Due to Encryption methods employed to keep your document secret, text is limited to approx. 700 words or just over one page of medium density text. Create as many separate pages as you like.


Note: Only 1 Email module is permitted per Private Room. All email activity will fall under this one record module. If you delete this module from your room, you will delete all email created and/or received up to that point. Use caution!

Side By Side Photos (a very popular app)

Selecting this option allows you to upload two photos which will be displayed Side By Side within the same record.  This is great for giving your room the best "bang for your buck" because it virtually doubles a room's picture capacity.  It also looks really nice.

Or this feature could be used as a visual comparison between two images. 

When used as a Now & Then or Before & After record, your shots will normally be two images that depict some notable change in the subject that has taken place over a period of time.  It could be pictures of  family members as they are Now (adults) and Then (as children) or pictures of that old classic car you spent years refurbishing.  What about your major bathroom remodel?  The possibilities are endless.

 

You'll enjoy  having such convenient access to some of the more memorable events in your life.

Photos (allows adjacent special occasion images)

Selecting this option allows you to upload an image of your choice.  It could be just about anything, yourself, your girlfriend, your boy friend, your car, your boss, your kids or just plain nonsense.  Remember, only those you allow in the room will ever see it.

Your pictures are protected against theft by Stealth technology that allows your images to be viewed but not copied while in visitor's browser. Great for copyrighted
works and enhanced personal privacy.

                    

A Special Occasion picture may be added on the side of your uploaded picture which will display an appropriate image for celebrating a wedding, job promotion, birthday etc.  Numerous 'special occasion'  images are included and are available when you select this Single Photo mini-app.

FYI: Some people have created rooms for friends or relatives and then placed some meaningful images and information into the room, and then they give the room away as a "gift".  That's actually pretty cool!!!!

Box.net - Save Important Documents Online

Hopefully you know by now that storing some of your most important documents away from your home or office is one of the wisest and most responsible things you can do.

We all hope that disaster will never affect us personally but in "real life", too often, it does.  You need a "separate place" to store copies of items such as :

Birth Certificates, Wills, Mortgage Papers, Medical Documents, Photos, Legal Documents etc.

Certificate of Ownership

When emergencies happen, it is often important to be able to prove to others that you are the true owner of valuable articles in and around your home.

Agencies such as insurance companies, police and/or fire departments generally take a "questionable" view at items listed by home owners after a stressful event such as hurricane, fire, flood or earthquake.  Even a robbery can put you in a defensive stance when trying to show proof of ownership.

The real key is to have viable and credible proof BEFORE you experience an emergency.  That's exactly what this mini-app does for you.

You'll take pictures of valuable household items and create a Certificate Of Ownership record here. Your newly added record is time-stamped and that record along with other descriptive text is LOCKED from further editing.

If needed, insurance companies etc. can use the special "link code" that we provide to show proof that you truly owned the items that you listed in your report.  Some agencies will accept a printout of these records to establish the authenticity of your claim.

Remember the days when your friends and family would tell you to mail a letter to yourself describing your new invention, and don't open it?

Well time has moved on since those days but the need to have "some kind of" proof in reference to that new widget you just created still exists.

How often have you said?

"I created that a year ago" Only to have your audience turn to you with a look in their eyes that said "yeah! sure you did."

Our Certificate of Invention is an inexpensive solution that documents your origination date and proof of concept. Ultimately you'll still need a more legally viable "proof of invention" such as a patent or copyright etc. but these can be costly and time consuming.  In the meantime, you should do something.

Video Launch Pad

You may display a Video that you have already uploaded to YouTube  using this module. There is no need to re-upload the video.

You will however need to know the exact URL (or code) that such sites are able to give you for viewing your video at your own location.

You'll be able to type in (paste) the desired URL of the site by selecting this option.

Personal Expenses (non business)

The format for the above two listed types of expenses is essentially the same.  Therefore this module can be used for either purpose.

Personal Expenses can cover the range of such items as mortgage payment, rent, utilities, gas for your car, credit card payments etc. Use it for just about any expense you want to keep track of. The app will keep a running total of the money you are paying out to others.

If you want to group a certain type of payment and keep them separate from other expenses, simply select this mini app a second or third time for those "other" occasions.

For business purposes you should keep track of those expenses you incur while conducting business in and around town or when you go out of town on a trip so that you can be reimbursed by your company. This App makes it a snap to record such items and is available no matter where you go.

When using this app for this purpose you'll want to make use of the column of data input that is for reimbursed expenditures.  This way you can keep an accurate record as to how much your company still needs to pay you.

Be sure to create a separate record for each different trip.

Personal Journal

Sometimes you just want to write something down that reflects events occurring in your life.  All you know is that you would like to keep it secret (or share it only with someone of your own choosing).

This Mini-App includes a simplified text editor for jotting down those thoughts that come to mind. Keeps them organized by date. No embarrassing copies left on your computer.

You'll be able to type in the desired URL of the site as well as add parameters to the web address that could automatically log you into the site without the constant stop and add your "User's Name" here and add your "Password" there. Day in and Day Out!
Note- the site must allow such passing of parameters and many do. You should inquire with your desired location if that information is not readily available. Many keep it secret because they don't want people to have a necessarily easy way to get into a member's location.

Your multiple locations are conveniently available in one central room. You get to view these locations through reduced sized windows that enable you to get sort of a summary of the information that you want to scan. If the sites are "well behaved", moving from link to link within the Launch Pad window will still keep you in your current Private Room. Even if a link causes a new window to open, your Private Room will still be there when you return.
