RENTAL POLICY
------------------------------------------------------- Scenario #1: (if you sign up for a "Month to Month" account) ------------------------------------------------------- All new accounts require a $500 US sign up fee. This hefty initial fee is designed to deter the non-committed applicant. Your initial signup involves the assistance of a "real live human being" behind the scenes. We plan to keep our community relatively small and the members willing to endure the rather steep financial obligations are most likely already aware of the significance of membership. The on-going recurring rental fee is $250 US per month. Therefore your initial fee of $500.00 US will cover your initial setup and first month of rental. Your normal monthly rental fee of $250 US will begin with your 2nd month of membership. Payments are PREPAID for the following month. Currently we use Paypal as our payment processor. It is they who will accept your payments. Paypal will also REBILL your account for each additional month as time has elasped and the new monthly fee has become due and payable. ------------------------------------------------------- Scenario #2: (if you elect to pay for a year in advance) ------------------------------------------------------- We currently do not accept payment in advance for an entire year. This may seem somewhat unusual but over the years of operation, we have found that the monthly model seems to work best for our customers as well as the site. Their are two significant dates associated with membership: - Date Paid Up Until : 3/3/2012 5:03:34 PM - Checkout Date/Time : 2/3/2013 6:12:04 PM Each new membership is automatically signed up for 1 year of room rental. This is the [ Checkout Date ]. This is not really a commitment date because this site is strictly 'month to month'. It however is a yearly reminder date that you (the client) must renew within that year. Unlike many gym memberships that "bet on" you not to show up. MPR wants only devoted members to be part of the community. We do not just want your money. That's why we ask that you proactively agree to continue service from time to time. The [ Date Paid Up Until ] field is the more critical of the two. This defines exactly what it says. It's the date the site considers to be the last day we consider we have an obligation to provide you services. Your room can be terminated if this date has been allowed to lapse. Our system will repeatedly alert you that your monthly payment has lapsed and you must not allow a second monthly fee to lapse or your room may be automatically destroyed. When you opt to extend your period of rental for one year we will add a date of 1 year (to the current room's Checkout Date ). We will then know to continue your recurring billing for another year of service. NOTE: 'Dumping a Room' refers to the act that the room's administrator may take when selecting an pre-mature exit strategy. If you decide to manually "DUMP" your room, then all potential rental fees will be stopped. This is true because your room will no longer exist.
REFUND POLICY
If you for any legitimate reason decide that the rental of one of our Private Rooms is not for you, you may request and receive a refund up to the amount of your most recent rental. This request must be received BEFORE the rental time has expired. This means that no refund for rental (as in Scenario #1 above) may ever exceed $250.00 US. (Since the maximum we will charge is $250.00 US). The $250 portion of the initial setup may or may not be refunded due to the fact that human labor has already been expended. We have continuing concern that allowing individuals to "peek under the covers" while knowingly operating under false pretenses be avoided at all costs. As a renter and in effect owner of a room, you may 'dump' your room anytime and any future charges will not occur due to the fact the room no longer exists and/or it is not associated with YOUR name. Please note that pre-maturely dumping your room also affects the 4 tenants associated with your account. Their rooms can not exist without your existence, UNLESS they agree to pay some of their own monthly fees. Refunds will be given from Paypal, the same processor that collected the funds in the first place. Where possible, refunds will be given on the same credit card that was used to initiate the rental transaction. Sales for our services by independent "Affiliate" operators may require additional deductions from your request due to the fact that these Affilates will have shared in the receipt of the initial transaction. In such cases we will always find a fair middle ground.
PRIVACY POLICY - DISCLAIMER NOTICE
This site endeavors to provide a means for legally crafted activity to remain the sole property of the originator of said property. In effect this site has created a virtual warehouse where private matters can be created, stored and possibly shared. The company does not monitor such stored creations and would consider such acts as a breakdown in trust between Company and Customer. The basic building block of MyPrivateRoom.com is to obtain and keep on file personal information only as long as needed and to destroy and discard information that has grown non current. We do not share information with ANY outside sources. For the most part, information is stored in an encrypted manner and where possible, data is disassociated with the creator of such data. Although every reasonable step has been taken to protect your information from outside sources, it is important to note that you use our services "at your own risk". In no way shall MyPrivateRoom.com, Lexcel Systems and/or any of it's affiliates be liable for ANY damage caused by such use. In the event that such liability is determined by a court of law, such damages can not exceed the amount already paid into the system (eg. if paying by month - the maximum monthly rental amount of $250 US). MyPrivateRoom.com believes in the American system of government and would not knowingly allow its technical services to be used in any manner that could be considered aiding "acts of terror against the US". For that reason, the company will, upon being served a properly endorsed supoena, abide by the law enforcement agencies who have clearly demonstrated their belief that such acts are taking place utilizing our technical services. MyPrivateRoom.com would also not knowingly allow its technical services to be used to promote or enable to be stored any material that could be considered child pornography or hate mongering. For these reasons, the company will, upon being served a properly endorsed supoena, abide by the law enforcement agencies who have clearly demonstrated their belief that such acts are taking place utilizing our technical services. MyPrivateRoom.com has no control of the multitude of fiber optic and other transmittal media used in the passage of information throughout the Internet. Sometimes certain points in that system encounter technical problems which prevent you from reaching our servers. We can take no responsibility for the temporary breakdown of such technology. Your acceptance to use our services acknowledges the fact that there will be occasional glitches that are usually repaired as soon as humanly possible.
